Apex 1, Nine Elms
The amenity heart of a landmark build-to-rent tower beside Battersea Power Station.
Apex 1 is a 26-storey build-to-rent tower in Nine Elms, at the east end of the New Covent Garden Market redevelopment. AMF MEP's role was the CAT B fit-out of the residents' amenity spaces, not the residential tower itself.
For those amenity floors AMF MEP delivered the mechanical and electrical design: gym, screening room, co-working lounge, meeting rooms, kitchens and concierge. The exposed-soffit design demanded millimetre-level coordination of VRF, ventilation and sprinkler services within tight structural zones and joinery.
The fully coordinated CAT B package was issued at Construction Issue status, coordinated live against the architectural, sprinkler, drainage and specialist lighting models.
What we're delivering
- CAT B M&E design for the residents' amenity spaces (gym, cinema, co-working, concierge)
- VRF comfort heating and cooling, MVHR and fan-coil ventilation
- Exposed-soffit services coordination with joinery-integrated units
- Lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, small power and security coordination
Apex 1, Nine Elms is a recent AMF MEP appointment. A full case study will follow. In the meantime, see our completed projects.
