Cyprus Beckton
An all-electric new neighbourhood of 211 homes in east London.
Cyprus Beckton redevelops a brownfield site in the London Borough of Newham into a mixed-tenure neighbourhood of 211 apartments across six blocks, with nearly a third of the homes affordable.
The energy strategy is fully electric: roof-mounted air source heat pumps feed an ambient-loop heat network, with twin plate heat exchangers in every apartment generating heating and hot water. There is no gas anywhere on site. Every block carries a rooftop PV array.
AMF MEP is delivering the full mechanical design at RIBA Stages 4-5, including boosted MVHR with tempered-air cooling for Part O overheating compliance, BS 9251 sprinkler coordination and the BEMS controlling the communal plant.
What we're delivering
- RIBA Stage 4-5 mechanical design across six blocks
- Ambient-loop ASHP heat network with apartment heat interface design
- MVHR with peak-lopping cooling (Part O compliance)
- Sprinklers (BS 9251), BEMS, standby generation and heat metering
Cyprus Beckton is currently in delivery. A full case study will follow on completion. In the meantime, see our completed projects.
