Kensington Forum
MEP design development and validation for the refurbishment of a 28-storey Kensington hotel.
The Kensington Forum is an existing 28-storey hotel over two basement levels in central London, now being refurbished. The works concentrate on the levels that carry the building's plant and public functions: both basements, the ground floor, the first floor and the mezzanine.
AMF MEP is appointed for mechanical, electrical and public health engineering, combining validation of the design inherited from earlier stages with Stage 5 development of the elements that need it, so that the package taken to site is both checked and complete.
Live workstreams include the smoke ventilation strategy for the basement levels, the low-voltage distribution and switchroom arrangements, and the drainage design, each coordinated through the project's design tracker.
