Building Services Infrastructure Design
Holistic MEP infrastructure engineered for performance and sustainability, carried from detailed design through construction to handover.
Building services infrastructure design covers the full mechanical, electrical and public health engineering that makes a development work: HVAC, lighting, power and plumbing systems engineered for peak performance and sustainability. AMF MEP takes a holistic approach, designing every system as part of one coordinated whole rather than a set of separate packages. Using BIM modelling and energy simulation, we ensure each infrastructure design meets the highest standards of energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
We carry designs through the RIBA stages to completion. At Uxbridge Town Centre West we deliver the full MEP design for 267 apartments from RIBA Stage 4 through Stages 5 to 7, covering construction drawings in full 3D, as-installed records and handover, alongside the complete compliance workscope of SAP, SBEM, EPCs, Part G water calculations and IES thermal modelling. At 3 Thames Road we designed the mechanical and electrical services for 161 homes across three blocks, including the site-wide external services that connect the buildings to their infrastructure.

Where we deliver this now.
What does building services infrastructure design include?
It includes the full spread of mechanical, electrical and public health engineering: HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing and the site-wide external services that connect buildings to their utilities. AMF MEP designs these as one coordinated system, using BIM modelling and energy simulation to hold every element to the same standard of energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
Do you stay involved through construction and handover?
Yes. At Uxbridge Town Centre West we carry the full MEP design from RIBA Stage 4 through Stages 5 to 7, producing construction drawings in full 3D, as-installed records and the handover documentation. Staying on through construction keeps the built installation true to the coordinated design.
Can you handle compliance alongside the MEP design?
Yes, compliance is designed in rather than bolted on. At Uxbridge we deliver the complete compliance workscope beside the MEP design: SAP, SBEM, EPCs, Part G water calculations and IES thermal modelling. One team carrying both means the engineering and the assessments always describe the same building.
