AMF MEP designs home automation around intelligent control of lighting, heating, security and multimedia systems, using the latest technology. We put the emphasis on intuitive interfaces and tight integration between systems, so the home responds as one environment rather than a collection of separate controls. The result enhances comfort and convenience while optimising energy use, creating smart homes that are both luxurious and environmentally conscious.
Because we design the full mechanical, electrical and public health engineering, automation is coordinated with the systems it controls from the first drawing. Control wiring, containment and interface positions sit in the same coordinated Revit model as the HVAC, lighting and power they serve, which is how the integrated home systems were delivered across 135 super-prime residences at The Whiteley in Bayswater. The same discipline applies at every scale, from a single residence to the amenity floors of a 26-storey build-to-rent tower.

What does home automation design actually cover?

At The Whiteley the integrated home systems were designed and coordinated in the same Revit model as the rest of the MEP services.
